Jake Evans, a support worker for Enrich+ in Hamilton, graduated with a Diploma in Enrolled Nursing from Wintec this week.
Jake was due to graduate earlier in the year but due to the interruptions of COVID, graduation was pushed out to September. Jake works full time for Enrich + and is part of the team at Princes Street.
This is Jake’s first step on his career path, he has not decided yet what his future will hold or if he will take the next step on his nursing journey to become a registered nurse.
Enrich+ service manager Janne Nottage said whatever the future holds for Jake, it will involve people.
Jake has a few interests, but most of his time outside of work is spent within Cadet forces, where he holds the rank of Officer Cadet.
Jake believes in the organisation and it allows him to work with youth , so it’s the perfect organisation to belong to.
“Being involved in cadets has allowed Jake to hone his organisational and management skills and he states this really helps with his job as a support worker,” said Janne.
