CASUAL SUPPORT WORKER - Hamilton

We currently have vacancies for vibrant and energetic Casual Support Workers to join our Vocational Services based in Hamilton.  

As a Casual Support Worker, you will be working alongside full time staff to support the people we serve to:

  • develop their skills and abilities
  • engage in meaningful activities of their personal choice
  • explore and enjoy new experiences

In this role you will work across various services, so flexibility is the key. You will need to be self-motivated, available for work at short notice, and adaptable to be able to hit the ground running – no one day is ever the same. 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • a sense of humor
  • a calm nature
  • the ability to work alongside a diverse range of people with varying support needs
  • the drive to make a difference
  • personal values in alignment with the purpose, vision, and values of Enrich+
  • the ability to work as part of a team
  • a full clean driver licence
  • current first aid certificate preferred

 Whilst previous work experience is advantageous, having the right drive and attitude is more important to your success in this role.  Hours of work will be 8.30am to 3.00pm Monday – Friday.

CASUAL COMMUNITY FACILITATOR - Tauranga and Bay of Plenty - Contract

Exciting opportunities have arisen due to growth at Enrich+ as we work with individuals in Tauranga and Bay of Plenty. We are looking for several team members that want to join an organisation dedicated to working alongside individuals with disabilities to develop their skills and abilities, to enhance inclusion in the communities of their choice. Ideally you will have some experience with supporting or working with people with disabilities.

Our vision at Enrich+ is to enable the people we support to ‘have a life like any other’. We pride ourselves on excellence, professionalism and on being driven by the people we support.

As Community Facilitator you will provide a service that helps individuals with disabilities to:

• achieve their goals by working alongside them

• develop their skills and abilities to live independently in the home of their choice

• enhance inclusion in the communities of their choice

• assisting and supporting employment opportunities as they arise

We are looking for people who are passionate about supporting others, and excited about opportunities as the service grows and develops.

Our ideal candidate will have:

• some experience in working with people with disabilities

• some knowledge or understanding of behaviour analysis and behaviour management

• the ability to work autonomously and be a part of a team

• the ability to be flexible with working hours and working approach

• the ability to think on your feet and use initiative

• an open-mind and be willing to learn

• a calm nature with a sense of humor

• a current drivers licence

• completed or be working towards Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Education, Psychology or a related field would be an advantage but no essential

Whilst previous work experience in the disability/mental health/social services sector and a relevant qualification is advantageous, having the right drive and attitude is more important to your success in this role. CASUAL FACILITATOR FOR AUTISM SERVICES - Tauranga

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Enrich+ as relaunch our autism groups in Tauranga. We are looking for several team members that want to join an organisation dedicated to making a difference for people with autism and their families. Ideally you will have some experience with supporting or working with people on the autism spectrum.

Our vision at Enrich+ is to enable the people we support to ‘have a life like any other’. We pride ourselves on excellence, professionalism and on being driven by the people we support.

Your role will be assisting with facilitation of  social and communication skill groups in Tauranga, for children, teens and young adults. Further opportunities could exist for the right candidate. We are looking for people who are passionate about supporting others, and excited about opportunities as the service grows and develops.

Key activities include:

  • facilitating social and communication skills groups for children, teens and young adults, and assisting with planning and development if required
  • delivering services to people with autism
  • working closely with those coordinating the programmes, enrolments, and other background functions of the groups to ensure the best delivery to our young people in the service.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • completed or be working towards Bachelors degree or equivalent in Education, Psychology or a related field
  • some experience in working with people with autism and knowledge or understanding of how they might see the world
  • some knowledge or understanding of behaviour analysis and behaviour management
  • the ability to be flexible with working hours and working approach
  • the ability to think on your feet and use initiative
  • an open-mind and willingness to learn

If you are looking to make a difference and utilise your experience and knowledge in autism, then we want to hear from you! Groups generally run between 3.30pm and 9pm so availability between these hours at least one or two days a week is essential.

COMMUNITY FACILITATOR – SUPPORTED LIVING

A casual position currently exists within our Supported Living Service in Tokoroa working up to 5 hours per week to support a male client.   This is an opportunity for job share.

Our Supported Living team provide a service that helps individuals with disabilities to live their own life, in their own home and with the staff of their choice.

As a Community Facilitator you will empower people to:

  • achieve their goals by working alongside them
  • develop their skills and abilities to live independently in the home of their choice
  • enhance inclusion in the communities of their choice

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • the ability to work alongside a diverse range of people
  • the ability to inspire people to achieve their goals in independent living
  • creativity and flexibility to meet the demands of the role
