McKenzie Centre is a leading early intervention centre for children with disabilities under the age of six. We provide a family-centred, play-based, trans-disciplinary service which helps children  realise their potential. We’re a passionate, innovative team of professionals who support the entire whānau.

 

The role:

We’re seeking a passionate and energetic individual to lead the team of highly skilled allied professionals including Early Intervention Teachers, Dieticians, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, Speech Language Therapists and Education Support Workers.

 

Reporting to the CEO Enrich Group, the Executive Lead – McKenzie Centre will lead the development and effective delivery of McKenzie Centre services through operational leadership and coordination of the Allied Health Services, quality and risk management, people and team leadership, financial planning and budgets, and supporting service delivery improvements and model of care changes.

 

You’ll have:

• A relevant tertiary qualification
• Experience in early childhood intervention and support for children with developmental delay or disability up to the age of six
• Proven experience in working with families/whānau of young children with  developmental delay or disability
• Knowledge of professional Allied Health practice issues and best practice
• Experience managing budgets and service delivery contracts
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to articulate messages to a variety of audiences
• Strong operational leadership skills within an early intervention framework
• Ability to develop high performing teams
• Experience working with government agencies, such as MoE, MoH, ACC and MSD
• Excellent IT skills
• A current driving licence.
