Casual Facilitator for Autism Services - Tauranga

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Enrich+ to deliver our autism services in Tauranga. We are looking for a team member to join an organisation dedicated to making a difference for people with autism and their families. Ideally you will have some experience with supporting or working with autistic people and those who are neurodiverse.

Your role will be assisting with facilitation of social and communication skill groups in Tauranga, for children, teens and young adults. We are looking for people who are passionate about supporting others, and excited about opportunities as the service grows and develops.

Key activities include:

• facilitating social and communication skills groups for children, teens and young adults, and assisting with planning and development if required
• working closely with those coordinating the programmes, enrolments, and other background functions of the groups to ensure the best delivery to our young people in the service.

Our ideal candidate will have:

• some experience working with autistic people or those with neurodiversities and knowledge or understanding of how they might see the world
• the ability to be flexible with working hours and working approach
• the ability to think on your feet and use initiative
• an open-mind and willingness to learn

If you are looking to make a difference and utilise your experience and knowledge in autism, then we want to hear from you! Groups run between 3.30pm and 9pm on a Wednesday so availability here, and possibly one other afternoon per week is essential. This could be a secondary role for the right person.
