I have held CEO or general management positions in the profit and not-for-profit sectors both in New Zealand and Australia. I am currently CEO of Braemar Hospital Ltd, one of New Zealand’s largest private surgical hospitals. My current governance roles include:

 – Deputy chair of the Waikato Branch of the Institute of Directors

 – Director of Linkage Ltd

 – Director of Keys Social Housing Ltd

 – Chair and independent member of the Audit & Risk Committee, Hauraki District Council

I joined the Enrich+ board in October 2011 and was delighted when I became chairperson of the Board of Trustees in October 2012.

As a member of the Institute of Directors Committee I have an ongoing interest and activism in governance.  Having served as Chair of School and Not for Profit organisations, I also have the honour of gaining a one year placement on the board of Hamilton Airport through the Aspiring Directors Award.  My day to day role at Crombie Lockwood provides a great foundation on which to provide good governance given I am in the risk business.

I joined the Enrich+ Board of Trustees in August 2013 and continue to enjoy my role as Trustee for this amazing organization, in addition to my other board positions with the Dietitians Board and Hospice Waikato. I am a past recipient of the Waikato Branch, Institute of Directors “Aspiring Directors Award”, have held senior roles as a human resources practitioner and was previously National Advisor–Governance and National Volunteer Strategy Advisor for the Royal NZ Plunket Society. I have a passion for community development and working with organisations to enable the building of sustainable and resilient communities and supporting the health and wellbeing of families/whānau.

I joined the Board of Trustees in October 2009. As a chartered accountant with 40 years experience and also a Te Awamutu resident, I was keen to bring my business skills to Enrich+.  It is an organisation I hold very highly and I felt that I could learn from the staff and clients of Enrich+.  I enjoy attending board meetings, listening to what is happening within the organisation and finding ways to make a difference.

I am a Partner at Tompkins Wake Lawyers, and have over 15 years experience practicing law.  I joined the Board of Trustees in June 2016.  As someone who has experienced the challenges faced by a family member with disabilities, I was excited by the prospect of bringing that experience and my legal background to Enrich+.  It is an organisation I hold in very high regard and I have been inspired by the enthusiasm and dedication of the staff of Enrich+.
